Helloooooooo!
Did I write this post while extremely hyper? Yes I did. Do I have a LOT on my mind right now? Also yes. Do I have any intentions of letting it affect my drive to be successful by my own personal standards? No way, my loves!
So.. where to begin? How about the fact that on a Wednesday that is the sixteenth of a month (those who know the significance of this, I’m sorry) I decided not only to quit vaping but also to quit vaping while trying to acquire pre-sale tickets for Harry Styles’ Together Together 2027 dates. This may get chaotic! On the flip side, the next post you read after this one, will have been posted just moments before me leaving for Manchester to see Niall Horan (I did say I was a Directioner lol). After that I will be able to say that I have seen all four remaining One Direction members this year! Nice little bucket list goal ticked off there!
As for my overall mental health, it’s been a little up and down this week. Saturday was a testing day for me as my ex decided to try and reach out to me randomly for the first time since we went our separate ways (we’ve been separated for over a year now). Safe to say I ignored it all and haven’t heard anything since thankfully. I don’t wish bad on a single person who’s not a part of my story anymore, but that doesn’t mean I need to add an extra chapter for them. That said, it’s been a good week too. Sunday evening, me and my aunty went to the cinema to watch The End Of Oak Street (thanks mum for looking after the kids) which was a brilliant watch and it was nice to do something as just the two of us without the kids, as much as I adore them. I've also started re-watching the older episodes of Doctor Who (2005 - Christopher Eccleston onwards) with my middle born so we watch an episode a night when the youngest goes to bed which is nice bonding time for the two of us.
Since then I have laughed, cried, squeaked (yes squeaked! That’s not a typo) and changed my mind so many times, I’ve given myself emotional whiplash! But I’m here without Harry Styles tickets and still going strong. I have zero doubt that me and my friends can obtain them in the next ten months, I am not panicking… yet! However, I do still feel weird, not reaching for my vape when stressed. The shows aren’t until 2027 so we’re just gonna take each day as it comes.
It’s been a productive week, that said. I’ve randomly deep cleaned my bathroom when I was waiting for my son to fall asleep one night and Thursday evening I even organised and decluttered a cupboard that had been driving me barmy for months! The one thing I do know is this: giving up vaping is only bad if you have nothing else to keep you occupied. Being busy helps enormously. Oh and that if I can survive the endless ticketmaster war without nicotine, I really can do anything! I plan on a perfectly relaxed weekend with all three kiddos and refreshing, ready to go again next week.
I hope everyone reading has a wonderful week! Remember you are loved and you are an important part of the world. I’m always here to talk to if anyone is struggling with anything, although I do recommend professional help as I am a fruit loop and definitely not qualified 😂 making my input alone not the best. Combine it with that from professionals though and you have the best cocktail for improved mental health...
Lotsa Love
