Concerts, Colds and Cornell… What A Week!

Why, hello my lovelies!

This week has been a mixed bag. There's been good and bad and actually bedridden. A time was had! First up... I had the best time in Manchester to see Niall Horan live with my friend (Niall was someone I’d always wanted to see live so this meant a great deal to me) and honestly I could live in the tour t shirt I ended up buying hehe! But I did end up getting poorly (cough/cold/flu thing) which I’m still fighting off, even now. So I’ve done the bare minimum this week with cooking and cleaning etc and not been remotely productive. I’m hoping it lifts enough soon to be able to knuckle down and get moving with my creativity again.

And then came the news about these scum bags at Cornell. I refuse to call them the 7. It was 57. Because as a man, if you can receive those messages and continue your day/night as usual? You should be in a cell too. I think what pisses me off the most is the typical “not all men!” Line that’s been popping up again. Because no; it’s not all men. But if I handed you blokes a tray of shots and said “3 of these are spiked with poison” are you going to start drinking the shots and risking getting the bad one? Because it’s not all the shots! Or are you going to refuse all the shots because you have no way to know which shots are the dangerous ones? Let that sink in. Also, I want to publicly shout out every single man I’ve seen who has publicly stood up and said “this is not ok and I will not allow myself to be a part of the problem”. We see you and we appreciate you standing with us. To the rest of you; it’s interesting to see how quiet you’ve gone with this… you all have mothers though? Sisters? Female friends? What if they were Jane Doe? I guarantee every single one of them has some kind of horror story they could tell about a man… let’s protect Jane Doe’s identity and do what we can to help get her the justice she deserved two years ago!

Moving on from that (it needed to be said, I’m angry. Raging in fact), the rest of the week has been good. October is landing now which always makes me feel good. I still don’t know why I come alive so much at this time of year but even with a blocked nose and husky voice, I still feel good! Seems nothing can actually bring me down fully right now. I’m excited for cosy days and spooky films and fun activities with the kids now! I’ve got a few bits planned for the next couple of months, including pumpkin picking of course!

But for now I need to focus on the website and feeling less flu-filled so I can knuckle down and talk properly about a few things I’ve been wanting to discuss.

Have a wonderful week, sweet ones!

Lotsa love

Soph xo
