Making waves: Moana Style

So another busy week has been had here at Soph's World but it has been another good one! As I sit and reflect on the small things, the big things and everything in between, I can honestly say it makes me smile. From getting on with painting my dining room to cooking healthier meals and enjoying life again, there's been plenty to keep me busy.

As you read this, I have just dropped my kids off at school for their final day, which feels a little emotional as one child is about to head into his final year at primary school and my youngest is completing his final day in foundation class, ready to move up to year 1. But they're healthy and happy and we're looking forward to lazy days and fun moments as a family over the summer. (Watch me threaten to send them to boarding school 10,0000000 times over the next 6 weeks!)

The week started with me cleaning up the house (deep clean to prepare for the incoming chaos) and starting to paint the dining room to freshen it up. I also noticed a positive change in all 3 kids' attitude this week, presumably because they're aware that we've almost reached the end point for a few weeks. This moved into me starting to prepare this post and think about upcoming topics I want to discuss so watch this space. I also formulated a plan to be more active and healthy and I'm already feeling better about myself for doing so. Even little things like doing a workout at home and drinking more water are improving my overall concentration and emotions which is a nice feeling. Then, along came Thursday and I took a few hours out of working hard to go and watch the live action Moana movie and oh boy! That was absolutely a must - watch! I really don't say this often but in my opinion? It's better than the original. I genuinely enjoyed it so much. Also, is anyone else getting an increase of tarot readings on TikTok that feed their delulu or is that just me?? Because I'm getting so excited about things that seem unobtainable and unachievable but I can't help myself!

So that's my week up until Thursday evening. Next week brings more painting, around 3 hungry and demanding kids as well as starting to go more into who I am and more about what led me here. I'll be talking about getting married young and then divorced, dating someone with alcohol issues and remaining optimistic about love even though my dating history looks like a flow chart of mental health decline (sorry kids' dad! 🤣)

See you back here. Same time next week.
Lotsa love
